The Ultimate HOV Lane
College of Business Alumnus, Ray Leavitt, Launches “The Ultimate HOV Lane”
During his years as a student at FAU's College of Business, Raymond B. Leavitt recognized the need to make private air travel more affordable and accessible as an alternative mode of transportation. In 2005, he came up with the cutting edge concept of EvoLux Transportation, LLC, an early-stage aviation technology company located in Florida Atlantic University's Research & Development Park in Boca Raton, FL, now accepting online reservations for booking destinations and tours.
Filled with tremendous enthusiasm about his business concept, Leavitt took the entrepreneurial track at FAU and established the company’s preliminary Business Plan during his junior and senior years at FAU. In 2006, upon graduation, he established corporate headquarters in the Technology Business Incubator located within the Florida Atlantic University Research & Development Park in Boca Raton.
As a graduate of FAU’s College of Business, Leavitt participated in the inaugural 2009 FAU Business Plan Competition. Passionate about entrepreneurship, Leavitt is keenly interested in economic development, and the role that universities play in fostering entrepreneurship and technology commercialization.
When asked about his experience at FAU Leavitt said, “My education and experiences in the College of Business had a tremendous impact on shaping who I am and what I want to accomplish in my career. Once I started navigating through the industry world, I realized just how much FAU prepared me for success as an entrepreneur.” Leavitt is the Founder and CEO of EvoLux Transportation, LLC.
