Dr. Kimberly A. Dunn, Distinguished Professor

Kimberly A. Dunn Faculty FeatureDr. Kimberly A. Dunn

Kim joined the Florida Atlantic University in the fall of 2001 and became Director of the School of Accounting in 2011. Prior to joining FAU, she was an assistant professor at Baruch College – City University of New York. Her primary teaching and research interests are in financial accounting. She has eight years of experience in the banking industry and has published in Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, Issues in Accounting Education, Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Investing, Managerial Auditing, and Review of Accounting Studies. She has served as the faculty advisor to Beta Alpha Psi and as Director of the Accounting Scholars Program and has taught introductory accounting to more than three-thousand students. She was awarded the Beta Alpha Psi Teaching Excellence Award, Alumni Association Degree of Difference Award, College of Business Distinguished Teacher of the Year, Steward Distinguished Professorship, and College of Business Master Teacher.

In her spare time, Kim enjoys golf and FAU football. She is currently organizing the sixth annual School of Accounting Celebration, a golf tournament, reception and dinner to raise scholarship funds for students in the School of Accounting at FAU
